Fashion Week!!! UD 2009

Last year the Garment District participated in the first ever University of Delaware fashion week hosted my Fashion Merchandising Club.

We hosted a movie night and made a garment for the sustainable fashion show. We created a dress made out of recycled plastic bags.

We won first place and went home with treats and a monetary prize!

We learned about the most treasured form of design!! Couture. Look forward to the next movie night this coming Spring.

Last year we made bags out of plastic bags to support Sustainability!!!

We collected bags from the department and made our own bags by melting them together and sewing the handles and sides together.

We even made a dress from the same collection of bags pictures will be featured soon!
